The ban, of course, is supposedly about protecting the children. Always is, ain't it? Keeping underage youth from the evil lure of flavored vapes. But let's be real, kids are gonna find a way to get what they want. Banning it just pushes it underground, makes it less safe, and probably more appealing, offcourse.
And what about the adults who enjoy these products? Are we just supposed to ignore them? "Prevent adults from making their own choices," the opposition says. Bingo. It's always about control, isn't it? Someone, somewhere, always knows better than you what you should be allowed to put in your own damn body.
But here's the thing that really grinds my gears: Bloomberg's not just some concerned citizen. He's a billionaire with a very specific agenda. He made his fortune in the financial industry. Is this really about public health, or is it about something else entirely? Is he trying to create a healthier, more productive workforce that will benefit his bottom line in the long run?
